
Rev Lynne Walter
Lynne was born and raised in Johannesburg. After a brief sojourn at university she entered the insurance industry in 1982 where she worked until 1996. She ended up working only part time in the last few years leading up to 1996 as she had become a full time student at The Rosebank Bible College from 1993 to 1995.
Lynne applied for candidacy for the ministry in 1996 and began her Honours in Practical Theology at Unisa which she went on to complete in 1997. She was ordained in August 2000.
Lynne has been in full time ministry since 1997 and has served in the following circuits:
1997 Johannesburg East
1998 - 1999 Waterberg Circuit
2000 - 2007 Hennops River Circuit
2008 - 2014 Escarpment Circuit
2015 - Present Outeniqua Circuit
During her ministry Lynne has been involved with the HIV/AIDS ministry, the Ubuntu Community Centre and also, in the training of ministers as an IST coordinator.
She is passionate about worship, discipleship and celebrating the diversity of God’s kingdom people.
Her hobbies are: Reading, music (She plays an instrument or two), beadwork and travel (when she can afford it).
In her spare time (when she has some) Lynne also enjoys watching sport and in particular, loves watching Formula One and cricket.
