Founded by Eugene Van Der Merwe in 1994, the company was first known as Bocal Electronics, but has since been renamed to Bocal Africa after an ownership change in 2008. John D. Loesch was appointed Managing Director and today serves as Chairman of the Board after Donald Labuschagne was appointed Managing Director in 2014.
Recent power constriants has resulted in an increased demand for emergency power supplies.
