About Us
Hello!
My name is Marianne and I am the founder of
‘THE APPLETREE’ Early Childhood Development Centre.
I am a qualified BprimEd teacher, with specialization in Early Childhood Development. I obtained my degree with distinction from UNISA in 2002. I also received the Graduate of the Year Award from the Distance Education Council of America. I have 10 years’ experience, teaching at both preprimary and primary schools. I have completed certificate courses in Dealing with Problem Behaviour of Children and Parent Involvement.
Other relevant coursework include Art and Culture Activities, Helping the Underachieving Child and School Readiness.
I am passionate about teaching little minds and that is why I’ve decided to open my own pre-school. I consider myself a hardworking, creative and talented teacher. I’ve played the piano since the age of three. Music, singing and dancing will form part of our daily activities. I believe children should be excited about discovering their world. They should be confident enough to explore it. They should be happy. They should just be!
